Our Town Model Show

This Sunday was Fathers' Day here in Australia..so the special treat was attending the Our Town Model Show here in Newcastle in New South Wales...The Show features everything from model yachts to dolls but also includes some really good model railway set-ups...so here are a few pics that I took mostly layouts featuring the outback but also the mainline from Sydney to Newcastle...

First up a HO fine scale set up Bowen Creek in a fictitious area of Central NSW...I would say the best in show...

http://www.modelrailforum.com/forums/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=2009http://www.modelrailforum.com/forums/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=2010

http://www.modelrailforum.com/forums/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=2014 <a Water an HO layout based on the Central Coast Line which just south of Gosford winds around some really pretty coastline scenery...

http://www.modelrailforum.com/forums/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=2015 <a I was very interested in Erbschaft... a Marklin HO scale centre stud rail layout set in West Germany in the 1960's...

http://www.modelrailforum.com/forums/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=2019 <a Central Coast Line which is now electrified...Mullett Creek

http://www.modelrailforum.com/forums/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=2022

A very popular set up with the kids was this G gauge model LeonVille Junction...check the Simpson Clan waiting for the train!!!

<a Australian influence...strictly HO steam...Jembaicumbene

http://www.modelrailforum.com/forums/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=2025 <a Australian set up Mile 638 a fictitious layout around Armidale

http://www.modelrailforum.com/forums/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=2027 <a more...The Cabinet Line...American On3O...

http://www.modelrailforum.com/forums/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=2029 <a influence....

http://www.modelrailforum.com/forums/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=2031 <a came across these two Gauge 1 Models for sale...A Big Boy for $A 4 000 + and a Baldwin 2-6-6-2 for $A 1149...a bit beyond my meagre budget I'm afraid!!!

<a
