Hi all
Nailed to my toilet wall is a brass plaque (approx 4"x 6") title; L.M.S.R. It tells you not to flush the toilet in a station. Dated 1st. January 1865 by I. Andrews regional manager. My question is A, is it genuine ? B,has anyone any history of the man? Cheers Preston |

Sadly, if the date you have quoted is 1865, and it says LMSR, then there is the little matter of nearly sixty years between the date on the plaque, and the formation of the LMS, so I suspect a modern item. I seem to recall that Andrews may have been a make of toilet paper (or am I confusing it with Andrex?)
