If it's an old Triang model, these were only made in black 1950-53, when the first green version appeared. But Triang continued making black ones until the early 1960s, although the later models were renamed "Princess Victoria". (From Pat Hammond's History of Triang book)

From J W P Rowledge's book "The LMS Pacifics", the prototype 6201 was repainted in the LMS Black livery August 47, BR Black Feb 1948, and eventually BR Green in April 1952. I assume the Triang Green livery was produced in 1953 following the whole of the class being put in the BR Green livery by then.

Regards,
John

And the liver was to go with the bacon and eggs fried on the shovel.
