You could try Kent Garden Railways at St Mary Cray Kent - if they cannot supply Andy probably knows who can.

Treat yourself to a copy or two of "The Model Engineer" magazine or even buy a subscription, the small ads will provide some useful leads and there is usually plenty of information for the larger scale modeller too.

You could also do a lot worse than join a club if you have one locally.

Some good stuff to be found here: http://www.stationroadsteam.co.uk/. I haven't bought anything from them, but a friend was very pleased with their service.

Depends what you are looking for, and how deep your pockets are!

I run a 5" gauge battery Hymek which I bought secondhand about a year ago. Runs on one or two 12 volt leisure batteries. Both these places make a Hymek but neither would cough up to having supplied it. I don't know why not, it hauls six passengers with ease, and I am having fun with it running at my local Society of Model Engineers.

You might try this chap, substantial and well built bits, http://www.rideonrailways.co.uk/

Ebay advertises accessories and locos under 5in steam, or similar.

You might try this site http://www.steam-engines-for-sale.com/index.php It also sells battery and petrol driven as well.

Best of all visit your local Society of Model Engineers http://www.modeleng.org/ukclubs.htm I was a member for more than a year before I got my loco, my local society are a friendly bunch and put up with me calling in to give a hand on public running days while I was looking for something for myself.

Hope that helps, depends really what you are looking for.
