First pre-production samples of the Branchline Class 03 Diesel Shunter have arrived from China. Here in these photos Bachmann have applied livery to them to give you a better idea of how the finished items will look.

These all new Branchline models feature die-cast running plate to help maintain adhesion over the driving wheels. Two types of exhaust will be available.

The new Class 03 model will feature a 6 pin DCC decoder socket. Turned brass horns will be fitted along with an etched brass radiator grille and cab step safety grille. Item number 31-362 also features additional Air Tanks as the prototype locomotive incorporated air braking.

Not sure - green or black, perhaps. No need for sound, but smell - just a whiff of diesel if one gets too close. heaven....

It would not be hard to put a bit of diesel somewhere in or on the model for that special smell. might need a reapplication every so often ! Not sure whether household authorities would approve if it was inside though.

I think I can offer a good home to a stray plain green one. thumbsup.gif

As for the smell, warm 3 in 1 oil springs to mind. wacko.gif

Peter

Hi Y'all,

Lovely numbers, I have been waiting for these to re-appear for a while. Only one query, will they go over Hornby uncouplers, or will Bachmann produce uncoupler ramps to suit (hint?!)

Regards,

Hugh Williams

They never carried black Peter, which is why they're not doing that livery wink.gif By the time D2000 was delivered, the green livery had been adopted as standard
