We're off tomorrow morning from Brisbane Airport, stop over at Singapore and Heathrow Saturday evening. Car hire from the airport and off to a mate at Crawley... pity the flight didn't land at Gatwick. Looking forward to touring around a bit. Get back to Oz on my Birthday, 19th June. Posting same message on other forums.

Enjoy the trip, Peter.
I went to school in the Crawley area (Pound Hill, actually). I'm not too sure of any current model shops there but Langley Miniature Models have their shop in Three Bridges Road, a short walk from Three Bridges station. The Bluebell Railway is not too far away, and Brighton and the South Downs are an easy hop away to the south, while London is an easy trip to the north. |

Thanks for the replies. I don't really care about the weather. While it's good if it's sunny and warm, we'll still enjoy ourselves if it's not.
The friends we're staying with for the first week live in Ifield. I might have a look at Langleys. I like the Bluebell and the South Downs are lovely too. I was brung up in London, so need I say more. PS: See you in six weeks if I don't get on while I'm there. -------------------- Cheers, Peter.
