Just came through the door, seems quite a thick one again.

Comes with a supplement 'Valley Colliery' a woodland scenice layout from start to finsh. some useful information in there, the layout looks rather good as well.

Scarworth Junction in N-gauge is the cover photo.
Has the first review of the Hattons BR Class 14

Plus loads of the usual stuff, sorry its brief at work now so need to go.

Cheers

Took up the postal subs on this mag and the first one arrived on the 8th. Full of excellent articles. For some reason this months seems to be thicker than Feb's but when I looked at the page numbers it has the exactly the same amount. The new style page layout is good. This month's supplement is also a handy ref book.

The other advantage of having a postal sub is the 12 for the price of 10 and this year's incentive of a hobby knife kit (Draper) which has also arrived and is in use.

Bought mine two days ago in Eason shop... and disappointed. As I were one of, I guess, 1.5 thousand of people who decided to enter to the £2,000 competition, I read the issue once, second time, third time... and nothing! There isn't any single word about the competition though the lucky winners were supposed to be shown in the March issue.
QUOTE ("In January issue the author wrote the following")
(...)The winners will be notified by post, and will be published in March issue of Hornby Magazine.

And which March do they mean? The issue called "Issue 33, March 2010" or the issue that will be is shops by March 12 question.gif

The rest just needs to be 10 out of 10! I liked the layouts but not the way they are controlled sad.gif

Hi there,

Thanks for all the great feedback about the latest issue.

With regard to the £2,000 give away the full list of winners names will be included in our April issue (an admin issue means they weren't in this issue), but all winners should have already been contacted by post to advise them of outcome.

Best regards,

Mike Wild.

Mine still has not arrived. sad.gif
I wonder what extra-slow type of postage is used to send subscribed magazines out of the UK. When I order a back number of Railway Modeller or Continental Modeller it just takes 48 hours to arrive. I cancelled Model Rail subscription when Magazines took sometimes longer than 4-5 weeks to arrive.
Its only with the UK railway magazines. No problems with German, Swiss and even Japanese magazines!

You are not alone in that situation Thomas. I will say however that whatever means Hornby Magazine use is FAR superior to Model Rail. My Hornby Magazine usually arrives here in the USA by a couple of weeks after publication. Model Rail I'm sorry to say varies from 4-5 weeks to totally lost

If you're thinking of issue 34 which is the edition with April on the cover, it's been in the shops since the 12th of March. Issue 35 - May should be in the shops on Friday week - April 9th.
