Was that the "new style" (lilliput type) packing of clear holder in box with slide on outer sleeve ??

If it was MO (Mail Order) it may have been Royal mail at it's usual worst................

I think that Hornby assembly still harks back to the Tri-ang philosophy of "one screw" fixing. Body tops, the bogies, Motor, valve gear, couplings (later), all were one screw fixings.
I suppose that the newer models are a bit more fiddly. (Also, the SSPP Jinty and Pannier front fixing is poor, as the plastic ledges for the front prongs are not very strong, and pretty difficult to fix. Though the "ancestor" jinty did have metal prongs through two holes in the bunker....)

That just SMACKS of the mainline J72 & Airfix 61xx loco's I have.............. 2 prongs at the rear of the chassis to locate in the back of the body.

Strangely, Bachmann have used the same method on the J72 they offer although the "locating pegs" are in slightly different positions. ermm.gif unsure.gif question.gif
