By following this thread you can follow the progress of Twickenham & District MRC's OO gauge minimum space layout - KERWELL & TIDMERIC JUNCTION LIGHT RAILWAY.

The K&TJLR is the Club's main "promo tool" - a small easily transportable layout to take to local shows and other events in the borough and surrounding area. Part of the idea behind the layout is that it is able to promote the Club, and the hobby in general, at fetes, PTA events etc. To that end, it has its own dedicated stock so that any member can borrow it to take to an event they wish to support.

In February 2010, when this thread was started, the layout was basically finished ..... the next job is operator training!

In order to broaden the operator base within the Club, we organised a "driver training" evening on March 12th. Steve, the layout co-ordinator, showed members how the layout works in the hope that more members will come forward to operate the layout at exhibions.
