I have used Interlink direct and they are very good and very competitive - you will also get a 5£ discount with yr first booking.
http://www.interlinkdirect.co.uk/online_sa...eEnquiry.action I just did a budget pricing exercise from Farnham UK to NSW and it came out at ~£24.39 for typical 00 gauge loco carton from Rails etc Its a collection service though so you need to advise the seller to have the package ready - you create the label and email it to them to stick on the parcel and the van collects it then its tracked and insured via the bar code = works very well |

I bought the Platinum Model from the NRM last week. I model DCC so I had to remove the the body of the Tender to place a 21pin decoder in the socket. I would like to issue a word of warning regarding the method of removal. The instructions re which screws to remove is wrong. There are two screws at the front of the tender and only one screw at the rear. Doing it the way of the instructions will result in the coupling hook being removed, and it's a b**ger to put it back. The screw holding it in place is attached to a small nut on the inside of the tender and this nut is not secured in place.
Regards Chas |

I have already advised Bachmann and the NRM of this. No reply from Bachmann.

Regards Chas I did the same thing a couple of days ago and can confirm this. the nut holding the coupling in place is a right pain in the neck to get back in! Out of interest what decoder did you use? I fitted a trainsave decoder with a 21-8 pin converter. It made evrything a tight fit. a bit of an own goal in my opinion. i should have simply baught a 21 pin decoder. Peter -------------------- |

The 3F tender is the same, a not so captive nut on the screw which secures the tender cpupling post 'slide'.

I wonder if you can help me?
What would you like to see packaged with the Midland Compound ? I am trying to get some ideas ready for Christmas. Many thanks in advance. |

Good quality pre-painted footplate crew. In different poses and available for other NRM steam models. Keith |
