The 3rd prize winner will win a row of Skaledale shops: Thomas Chaney & Sons Butchers R8964, Forbes Menswear R8967, H Robertson Greengrocers R8966. Total MRRP 50.14.

 

Theme:

The subject of the photo competition is "Quintessential Hornby". This is open to your interpretation of what is quintessentially representative of Hornby. You may include Hornby products in you photo if you wish. To give you some help, just imagine what Hornby may use or have used in the past on a marketing poster or product catalogue.

 

Judges:

The competition will be Judged by Simon Kohler (Hornby), Mike Wild (Hornby Magazine), Chris Nevard (Nevard Media) & Doug Teggin (Model Rail Forum).

 

The competition closes at the end of August. The top 3 photos will be selected by our judges and announced on the forum at the beginning of September. Winners will be contacted by email. A selection of photos from submitted entries will also be published. The winners' photos will also be published in Hornby Magazine.

Rules:

  1. The photo competition is open to all members of Model Rail Forum. If you are not yet a member of the forum and would like to enter the competition, please join the forum here. Joining the forum is free.

  2. The subject of the photo competition is "Quintessential Hornby". This is obviously open to your interpretation.

  3. Each entrant, may submit a maximum of 3 photos. Only one photo per member will be eligible for a prize. i.e. if one of your photos is selected for a prize, then your other photos are not eligible for the other prizes on offer.

  4. Photos submitted must not have been entered in a previous competition or published elsewhere including on Model Rail Forum or any other website.

  5. Photos must be your work.

  6. Photo editing is allowed.

  7. The subject matter of the photos must not break any Model Rail Forum rules.

  8. Entries must be digital or digitised. The dimensions of the submitted images should be at least 3000 x 2000 pixels (25cm wide at 300dpi). If your camera can't take photos up to that resolution, please contact us. If you have a different format (width x height) then the width of the images should be at 3000 pixels or more.

  9. Please do not add any text, copyright or watermark to the photo itself.

  10. Entries must be submitted be email to [email protected]. Include your Model Rail Forum ID together with your full name, your age and address. Please include or attach the photos to your email. If you are unable to send the photos by email due to their size, upload them to the internet and send the URL to the photo by email.

  11. Please give a title to your photos and send it along with the photo in your email. You may add a description if you wish.

  12. The closing date is the 31st August 2009. All entries must be submitted on or before that date.

  13. The judges decision is final. If you have a query about the competition, you may post your query on the forum. Please do not dispute the rules on the forum. If you have a problem with rules, please contact the forum administrator.

  14. 1st prize is one Hornby Digital Sound locomotive model from Hornby. The prize will be sent to the winner as soon as the model is available from Hornby. 2nd prize is a Hornby Southern Suburban 1938 Coach Pack. 3rd prize is 3 Hornby Skaledale shop models.

  15. The copyright of the photos remains with their respective owners. By entering the competition and submitting your photos, you agree to let Model Rail Forum, Hornby Hobbies and Hornby Magazine publish your photos.
