Now that brings back memories!
Why don't Bachmann do one of these?

A lovely set of photos, David. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. This was my first summer with a semi-decent camera. Mostly the shots are point and click. The rainbow was taken from a moving train.

I'm sure there's a Brawa model of this one.

This is not the trip we made. The steam trip over the Furka pass appears to be a daily event with several journeys made each day. We were making the best of the second rain free day in the previous seven with a round trip drive over the Grimsel, Furka and Sustans passes. As we were passing through Gletsch we spotted the train in the station. We found a flat space to park by the level crossing and waited for it to leave. I think we waited for about an hour.

Now wouldn't that be a fantastic basis for a layout? I always look for a way to include boats in my layouts and one of these would be excellent.

Yep, they are great. These are the ones in my local region.

Some fantastic regional trains there. I get really jealous when I go home and see the decent quality trains we have in the UK and the ones on the Continent. The ones I ride on to work over here are like tin cans with people crammed in like sardines.
