Hi All,

Looking at Starter sets here in Australia mostly on ebay and many of them even though the store selling them is base here only come with the European 2 pin power plug.

The sellers are telling me that all I will need is a Euro to Aus travel adapter as both European and Australia have 230 volt power supply.

Will this work? Is anyone else using a setup like this? Is there a better product to use other then a basic adapter?

Thx,

Doug G.

Yes it will work. I have done this with a few different items, with British or European plugs and adapters. As your advisor has said, the voltages are essentially the same (within the required tolerances).

I think you know the answer! Cut the supplied mains plug off, and fit the standard Australian household appliance plug.

The EU has standardised on 230 volt AC 50 hertz so a lot of places use this so long as the home electrics are compatible you should be fine,
