Hi there and welcome to the Forum.

It's great to see your enthusiasm for the GWR, but could you possibly scale down the image in your signature to comply with the size guidelines given in this topic - link

Thanks

David

Hello and welcome, GWR is very well but the Metcalf station kits - and very excellent they are, are based on the Cheshire Lines Committee which was joint Midland, Great Central and Great Northern but the buildings etc tend to be GCR as this was the company which provided the equipment and locos, so a very nice GCR start to your models.

Metcalf have certainly impressed me so far I have built

Station
Sand dryer/Water tower
Coaling plant
Large warehouse
Goods shed
Engine shed
Coaching Inn
Brewery

I have about another 10 to build so very very good so far, just built a Superquick garage (rather fiddly) and Market house (nice) and an Ash plant (a bit odd) so my own structures are progessing whilst I await Oman customs to release my boxes, quaintly they are being 'de-stuffed'
(a lot of bods poking around inside the boxes no doubt)

So anyway why not look at the GCR/GWR joint line through somewhere like Princes Risborough, very nice range of trains went through there and the GCR would take GWR equipment due to the continental loading guage used by the GCR.

So welcome, good luck and please post progress.

I know but they looked so good and went together so well.Still I can follow real life practise and "Swindonise" them.Due to space restrications I will most likely model a branch terminus or a small station in the city.I shall post pictures soon as I get batteries for the camera
