I'm getting the same. I had moved quite a lot of stuff through Ebay over the years but it's come to grinding halt. Also not happy with the amount of charges I'm getting hit with. I used to get re-listing for free and they have reduced that as well.
Cheers

I think you'd be quite within your rights to seek compensation or replacement. I have had a couple of packages from Kramm over the years where things have got damaged in transit but the cost of return postage has put me off returning them.

That sounds like quite a good option with Hattons. I'm selling a lot of my stuff on Ebay and having similar experiences.

I've abandoned the hobby. Just too much unreliability. Confined now to occasional dips into the forums.

Yep, same here. When you consider how much these models cost, it just doesn't seem worth the risk anymore.

Unfortunately being at the opposite end of the world I won't be able to make it either. I am seeing a lot of other Australians here though so maybe Richard might want to do something in Ozz when he's back here. I'm sure he'd get a decent turn out.

Thanks for re-posting the link Neil, fascinating (how do you know all this stuff...). In fact, I think it was this article that also had me 'capitulate' and buy the Brawa 40282 S9 when it was on special from Kramm in February this year. Cheers

Cheers Reddo, I found most of it out from Eisenbahn Journal special reports which I had to chuck through google translate. As an FYI there is a CD rom which has all the landerbahn (KPEV K.Bay etc) special reports available. It's very informative and has loads of pictures.

I have to agree with the wiring being what I like the least. My wiring is quite complex and so there is a bird's nest of wires underneath the layout. When a wire comes loose or gets disconnected somehow (usually by other people rummaging for things under the layout) it can be a challenge to find the break.

Cheers

Hi John, with the news section, I think Doug (the original forum owner) had it set up that only he could put items in the news section as this was what showed up in the portal. I has a look now and you can post in there but it gets queued for moderation. If you put up a post in that section just message David or I to authorise it.

I agree with what's been said about all subjects being covered and being left with little new to discuss. I used to post about my layout years back but am too busy now with work and kids to work on the layout never mind photo it and write about it. Maybe when the kids are older I can come back to it. I have stacks of boxes of kits to build that I need time to get to.

Gents, I am aware that there has been a recent issue regarding the BRMA website (not quite sure what went on as I am no longer a member) but this is not the arena to debate the merits or precedence of either of them or any other aspect of them for that matter. Both websites have much to offer. Peter has put up the first site to show layouts which is of interest to many. Let's just keep it to what the websites can offer and not get into internal BRMA politics on here.
