Image Description
This photo was taken from the northern bank of the Aare canal which allows lake steamers to dock next to Interlaken West station. The view is east. One of the SBB's IC2000 double decker sets is in the station behind. Even at this distance a wide angle lens cannot capture the full train length.

It's that colour all the way from Lake Brienz to Lake Thun. I don't know why, but it makes me think of "Slush Puppies" even though I've never drunk one. I assume that the colour due to sediment being carried downstream from the glaciers which feed it. A huge volume of water flows between the two lakes. The main river channel is a few hundred yards further north.
