the Roco Taurus model is nothing really new, so I´m going to get right on to the pictures.
The model came in a small wooden crate with the ÖBB logo and a picture of the model on it, a bag with instructions and the add-on parts, and a certificate of authenticity - 1000 models made.

It is indeed; one of the three officially licensed models distributed by the Austrian State Railways. Austria, Switzerland and the Euromotion engines are/were available.
Really nice model!! The ÖBB website has a section about EM2008 and you can see the locations and timetable of these Tauruses with the special liveries, presumably to help those who want to take pictures of them! Hopefully the football fans will enjoy a locomotive 'sharing their passion' as they travel to Austria and Switzerland for the matches.
I really hope there is one in N scale too, perhaps if the ones Hobbytrain already announced prove successful...
Also ÖBB railjet is almost ready for the first test/promotional train!!
Yes it's not as fast as the TGV but will at least give all the Taurus a chance to stretch her pantographs, so to speak! And in an age of EMUs everywhere it is nice to see a high speed locomotive pulled train instead...
No, a CD vom Ambros oder Ostbahn Kurti hättens scho noch beipacken könn´...
My girlfriend is teaching me "Wiener Schmäh". How am I doing?
Anyway, I still need some Railtop coaches for my Eurocity trains EC 3409 "Peter Nidetzki" and EC 5111 "Maj. Adolf Kottan" (I love "Kottan ermittelt" - there just HAS to be a train on my layout that carries his name!)
