Very true. I was actually exploring Chatham Station last year while waiting for a Sunday Service to Margate. It is still quite easy to work out where the track and platforms used to be.

I actually remember that at one point there was a removeable bridge between the platforms on the down side, I think that was in the early 70's.

It's strange how things change!
