Hi Doug
This 3d model, along with some other railway items that may be of interest, has been designed mainly with graphic artists in mind, both hobby and commercial. The best 3d scenery software is a program called Vue, and that's what it is modelled for.
The basic Vue scenery program can be bought for £46 online if anyone is interested in 3d art. Vue's site is here

There are several sites specialising in downloading ready made 3d models to use in the scenes vue can create, which users can buy and download. Our 'artists' page (named Dark Anvil) is
here, and if you scroll down you'll see the first of the railway items appearing in the list.
Vue now make a free personal learning edition. You can use it to explore the models we make (the signal box has a full modelled interior). You can do everything with it, but the final picture will have a watermark on it.
Be warned, it's not a game (so can be frustrating at first) and can become highly addictive trying to recreate the perfect sunset backdrop to your station scene!
