In a past job i used a steriolithography machine. (different principle-same result) and the cost of the machine was about £50,000 and about another £10,000 to fill up the resin tank!
Yes they have one on order at the local college to assist students with practical implementation of CAD design. It's a fantastic idea. So quick, gone are the days of making masters on a pantograph . Simply print them ! Brilliant. Silicone rubber and you have a mould.
