4-6-2

I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get a cheapish 4-6-2 as I am a new modeller and I don't want to splash out too much. I was looking for one which has those steam fender things at the front. Looking in the price region of £40-£70?

Like Noggins Friend I'm not sure what you mean by a 'steam fender thing'.

For the price you quote I'd suggest the 'Hornby Railroad' range. The 4-6-2s [known as pacifics] they do are an A1/A3 'Flying Scotsman' [@ £55gbp] or an A4, {the locomotive with the streamline casing} [Mallard @£77gbp & Falcon @ £66gbp]. These prices are Hornby's recommended prices so Hattons or similar will probably have them cheaper.

If your 'steam fender things' are smoke deflectors neither of these have them though.
