4472 to 60097

So a trip away from the layout and over to the work bench.

I had an old hornby Flying Scotsman just asking to be modified so today I had a go at:-

Air brushing with railmatch paints

So no longer 4472 and well on the way to becoming BR 60097 Humourist.

Just needs to be lined and then I'm going to try weathering


How's it look to you, it is matt finish just shining the garage light....

I have a few locos which could benefit from this.

Any spraying I have done, mainly cars, is all in the preparation. Clean flat surface.

Rubbed down with 1000 grit wet and dry and then cleaned with mild soapy water.

then build up the paint with light coats and let dry in between.

Spray from a distance of about 8"

Not much else...
