Hello my name is Pete and I am helping to organise A Celebration of Steam 9&10 May2009 at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
I just wanted to let you know that alongside the usual displays of (traction, road locomotives and industrial steam/model railway layouts/fairground attactions/miniatures/steam boats engines -insert whatever is applicable to the site) we have confirmed for this year a fabulous (highlight an actual exhibit and give its potted history).
Portsmouth Historic Dockyard as you will know was one of the greatest industrial complexes in the world during the 18th and 19th centuries and we want to try and tell this side of the Dockyard's history through this event. Any stories, facts that may be of interest to us are always welcome.
A latest addition to the event includes our Sausage and Ale Festival!
Our events co-ordinator here is also doing a blog as regularly as possible to try and keep everyone informed of the latest behind the scenes info!
