A late introduction

Altough I have been contributing to the Forum for some time I realsied that I have never formally introduced myself!

I have had a life long interest in railways and grew up in the Birmingam Area so regularly visited New Street and Snow Hill Stations and also had a small model railway.

After the end of steam in 1968 other interests crowded in and it is only over the last five years that I have returned to Railway Modeling although I have regularly visited Heritage Railways over the last 15 years.

I am now actively involved with the reopening of the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway in Derbyshire, principally on the permanent way side and the restoration of an Andrew Barclay 0-4-0ST.

I support two new build projects: Tornado and The LMS Patriot Project.

Welcome John, you'll find I have had a thread running for a while on Tornado.
