My name is John and I live in New Zealand.

My interest is in modelling the DRG in the late 1920's early 1930's. I am fortunate in that my train room is 5 meters x 6 meters so I have a lot of space to play with. The layout itself covers about 17 square meters of the room.

I go through phases of intense modelling and then nothing for a while. Progress updates on my layout are viewable here http://germanrail.8.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=962

Since the last update, I have done very little. I have been working on my local clubs exhibition layout http://www.mmrc.org.nz and that work thing has gotten in the way of modelling. But hopefully over the next couple of months I will find some time and continue building the town.

Any one who widens the spectrum and does what you do has to have something useful to contribute.

Hi

I do have a pretty specific interest in terms of the trains I run, but am always happy to learn about and discuss scenic techniques.

I have been lucky in that I have a really good friend who is an ex gunsmith who has an amazing attention detail and I have learnt a lot off him.
