As part of an ongoing project I recently acquired 34067 Tangmere from the Hornby stable. So far so good. Now the snag, the model is supplied with the original highsided tender with early crest, said project is set in 1959 when Tanmere was running with a cut down late crest tender.

My question - does anyone want to swap tenders?

Hi John,

That's the tender I'm after.

I will PM you to confirm.

QUOTE (5696Arethusa @ 17 Jul 2008, 16:24) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I may be wrong but I think you'll have to re-do the loco lining as those locos running with the tender raves intact had the boiler casing lining extended along the cabside and those with the cut down tenders had the boiler lining terminate at the cabfront and had the usual BR cabside lining in a panel.
You probably already thought of this and I'm just waffling on for no good reason.

Hi Andii,

Yer right - about the waffle anyway
However if you think about it it's easier to swap the tender and reline the cab sheets, than it is to hack the tender to pieces and have to reline that as well!

But thanks for the thought.
