I'm not sure which section to put this or if it's been covered before but if someone can show me how I'd be grateful.

I think I'd have to describe myself as marginally computer literate!

Copy the section of text that you want.
paste it into your post.
Then highlight it with the cursor.
Then click on the quote button which is second in from the right.

Or alternatively click on reply with quote.

QUOTE (pedromorgan @ 7 Mar 2007, 07:11) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>OK i cant make it work

You just need to make suere that there is a CODE
at the beginning of the quoted text and a CODE
at the end of the quoted text.

If you are doing it by hand, take note how the board adds quotes and fills in the name, date and time of the post being quoted, you can add that too. CODE
OK i cant make it work
You can simplify it like so CODE

i had trouble with that too. you see next to each post in the bottom right there is a box that says "quote" well click on that and then hit add reply. and that should do it for you.

Good to see that we all got there. If you have other questions about this sort of thing just ask. It's often easier than you think.

Thanks again Neil, like anything else, when you know how it's easy.
When you know nothing you think you'll look like an idiot if you ask!

Option 3 worked for me best where I clicked on quote on the person's post then opened a reply and deleted what I didn't want.
Anyway as the original poster I have been remiss in not thanking you all earlier. My apologies.
