Most of it. I do buy the odd thing now and then. But its got to gbe something special.
Thanks for the kind words guys. they are a good motivator.
I did a little more work last night and also took some more pcitures of things that have been happening these last few weeks.
First up is that LMS sleeper. I didnt know about the 3's on the doors so I put them on last night.
Next is the GWR brake third. I was hopeing to get this one out the door tomorrow night but I think it mnight need 1 more week for little details. I had forgotten the horizontal handrails down the side. and the corridor handrail. Little bits like that. But it will definatly be ready by next thursday. infact if my friend came round on Fridays instead of thursdays he could collect it this week!
Interior painted last night. just need to do the floor. I am never fussy when i paint the itneriors. life is just too short.
Next is the J69 in 2mm finescale. A pleasure to build and the chassis ran for the first time about a week ago.
This is really a test loco for another project I want to build and i used it as a guinea pig for chemical blackening chassis. this was a complete failure and needed to be overpainted. it was hopeless. i cleaned it properly and used the right chemicals and it still flaked off. very frustrating.
Thankjsfully as its a chassis, all the damage is pretty much hidden. the brush painting is not great but its behind wheels and in 2mm so it should be fine.
After a little tweaking, it runs as sweet as a nut. very pleased with it. the rather swanky maxxon motor helps! This also represents the first time I have used silicone sealant to fix the motor in place. it worked a treat.
