For information on stations, track layouts and the like, try the Middleton Press www.middletonpress.co.uk they do a huge range of books on various lines around the UK. May possibly go back a bit too far for your intended period.
It is probably best to get to a specialist railway bookshop and do some serious browing. The East Lancs Railway may be one potential source, and you are not too far from Embsey station near Skipton, on the Embsey and Bolton Abbey line, which has one of the largest railway bookshops in the country embseyboltonabbeyrailway.org.uk
