Bachmann have got the new 2009 range up on their website

LNER 04 2-8-0
BR Standard 3MT Tank
2 EPB as a follow on for 4 CEP!
Brand new 03 shunter

New liveries on existing models - although maybe a bit subdued this year. Nice range of buildings - that brewery looks mouthwatering!!!

QUOTE (Doug @ 22 Feb 2009, 22:08) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>We should be getting the full program on Monday.

i am surprised that they put another A2 in there,

would have maybe liked a third A1 with late crest in BR Green, but I already have two so doesn't really matter

I'm holding off Tornado until I see the real version rather than the prototype as the a re a couple of things missing/off

needs another plaque under the main plaque stating she was named by Prince Charlie, and she should have an unlipped Chimney

Doug, by full programme do you mean pics of all locos?

Thrilled that they're producing an LNER O4, but it looks like we'll have to wait a bit for that specific model, also they'll be branchline models so I'm not so sure as to their quality. Might be better off getting the hornby O6.

Thought Hornby would have beaten them to making a tornado model first.

I think there might be a mutual agreement sort of, that Bachmann do Pep A1s while Hornby do the Gresley A3s, just a thought really

It will be of the same quality as other recent releases like the Super D, Patriot, Jubilee, 9F. Don't let the '31' series number mislead you, they started reusing the 31 series numbers associated with the earlier 'Branchline' products some time ago...

Actually physically impossible without a time machine to rewrite history: Bachmann have already produced a Tornado model in cooperation with the A1 trust.

I also note that the Thompson coaches are back. That will bring the ebay prices down eventually where these are going for £25 plus second hand. I understand that Bachmann will charge under £20 which means they will be even cheaper on the streets. They will be in Crimson & Cream only.

I'm just glad that the 03 is back. Been looking for one for some time now. Just hope it come in green with wasp stripes. And on the up side it will have a dcc socket

Now the only questions are;
1) When will we see it?
2) How easy will it be to get inside it?

A new 03 is great especially if it has a correct NEM coupler socket. Just the shot for remote East Anglian branches in the 60's. The O4 will be great to but I am not sure if any at all worked in East Anglia.
