The all new Branchline Standard 4MT 4-6-0 locomotive is due to arrive in the next few weeks. This impressive new loco replaces the original model, originally produced in the 1970's.

The new models are a totally new design and manufacture. They incorporate the now standard Digital interface and smooth loco drive mechanism.

A great new feature on these particular models is the three part lining of the livery. This is the first time that we have incorporated this amasing level of livery detail on any Branchline model.

Also, these new models will feature the new style of Branchline packaging designed by our marketing designer Carrie Bell. This new style of packaging will introduced across the entire range in the near future.

Information from RMWeb implies that the Super D is in the same shipment, expected to pitch up end August, early September. Of these two releases, that's the one I am much more interested in. Of course there's always the chance that seeing the Std 4 looking so tidy will produce an irresistible impulse...
The new packaging should make it easier to ensure that I buy the all new model and not an original...
