Bachmann complete range

A great resource certainly but still doesn't unravel the mystery about why certain numbers are used and others not. For instance, for Ivatt 2-6-0 they allocate 32575-32586, yet 32580-32584 are unused. Can't unravel the Hornby (and Tri-ang) system, either. Not that it matters in the grand scheme of things, in any case.

Model differences
The series starting 32-585 is with a tablet catcher.

Pity it does not explain the difference between identically described models ie 31-050 and 31-050A, and 37-801A and 37-801B, or maybe there is not any difference

According to the Bachmann website 'A letter suffix to any item number denotes a re-run of the particular product' It also adds that as a result the livery and running number may differ from the illustration shown on their website.

This is extremely useful and thanks to Doug for posting the link.

It will not, however, stop me checking that what is in the box actually corresponds to how it is described by number and description on the box, or indeed as described by advertisers. Maybe I have been unlucky but with Mk1 coaches in particular the running number on the box is often NOT what is inside.

Correct but that usually involves a different running number - the examples I referred to are identially numbered and would therefore be expected not have the A suffix as per reruns of a number of other models. So is some difference in finish? Maybe someone has both and could clarify.

There are errors in the list.

31-275Y, The Mancunian pair of Royal Scots, The Boy Scout and The Girl Guide are described as parallel boiler but they are in fact rebuilt (taper boiler)

Also, 32-826Z Ivatt 2MT, 46443 has been completely omitted although later productions such as the G2A (Super D) are included.

These just came to mind very quickly and I have not checked further. It is still very useful though.

Great resource - why is the BR 170 not available in transpennine express livery. I found mention of this elsewhere on the web but cannot purchase it.
