Bachmann Intermodal flats problem
Up until recently i didn't realise that Intermodal flats were connected in pairs. Judging by the hattons website each "flat" is 25cm long making 50cm per pair.
My freight area was going to be an intermodal site but on my proposed layout I'm limited to train lengths of 160cm. Taking 30cm for the engine I can only fit 2 complete pairs. The train will look too small and I'm 20cm out of fitting 3 pairs. I can't squeeze another 20cm into the layout.
I thought about just running two pairs and an extra one but I can't run the train round and pick up from the other side.
