Hot off the Bachmann newswire today.

June 1st 2005
The new items keep rolling in.
There's lots of both Farish and Bachmann models arriving and model developments are moving along well.

The OO Ivatt Class 4 and Class 57 are well on schedule for release in the late summer/early autumn, and the 9F is progressing well with test moulds and running chassis due in July. The Fairburn locomotive is now in the Tool Room. The tooling for the revised 57xx is now completed and the model will feature new (improved) cab and bunker. More on these models as it happens.

Development of the Class 108 also gathers pace, and the model will have bi-directiional lights and two styles of roof and will be DCC Ready. The latest 08s are being released now and these versions are 'DCC ready' and have improved pick-up design.

Don't forget that the B1 'Kudu' will incorporate circular water filler and lamp brackets. The new Blue Riband 57xx is also up to sped, with new cab and bunker tooling done; it will fit onto the Blue Riband 8750 chassis.

Lastly, the Pullman Coaches will feature fibre optic lighting, and these will be going into production during the next month or so.

Digital Trains 30-040 and 30-045 and Standard Trainset 30-005 are back in stock.

On the Farish front samples of the new 5 and 7 plank wagons have recently being reviewed, while the Class 87, 90, and 91 locomotive series are progressing nicely, as is the GWR railcar. More news on these in future bulletins.

The Bachmann press release has been modified and that the comment above is no longer included.

Maybe the new model has had some late design changes?
