***Yes, you can Baz - the dynamis works fine with ESU chips. You won't be able to read them first though, so take careful note of what you do change for future reference.

Hi Baz

The dynamis is quite good as it is of course - I chose to wait for the Pro upgrade before stocking it as I know users miss the ability to read CVs before they change them much more than they expect they will... especially with sound loco's where its really helpful to know the default value before you change anything.

Having said that as long as you are aware of this temporary shortcoming you'll do OK if you use the manuals and list members for reference and take it one stepat a time... there's no reason to delay - and the sooner you get a step up from the EZ command so yo ucanstart adjusting to get best running and oter loco tweaks, the sooner you'll really start enjoying DCC!

(for example, Piemanlager has a good handle on the CVs for ESU)
