For those thinking of moving into DCC Sound I notice ( maybe somewhat belatedly) that the Bachmann site now has timeframes for many of the sound fitted locos :-

May/June - class 25 and the class 55's
June/July - class 45
Nov/Dec - class 40

I am now of the opinion that having sound chipped locos is the way to go. to this end I am now revising my future purchases such that I will buy 1 sound loco instead of two non sound fitted ones.

As I've just retired and am moving to different home, No not the Shady Pines, I've been given the 11'4" x 9'4" bedroom to use the layout will now be different too.

Just waiting now for the move, then all signal green and away we go.

I already have a class 37/0 in BR blue from Bach with sound, and Ive a dcc ready class 55 in early two tone green that from reading the instruction sheet is capable of having sound. I was wondering when Bach will be releasing the sound chips for this?
Steve
I hope when the class 25 comes out I can either re-fit a water tank and then the body from 25083 or maybe use the sound bits on my existing mechanism !

I wonder how accurate the dates are though, after all Bachmann do have a reputation as far as these things are concerned.
Wot no steam?!!

Pre ordered the class 55 Pinza from Hattons just over 12 months ago - finally some light - and sound - at the end of the tunnel.

The jubilee sound project has been ready for some time apparently. I can only presume Bachmann hav been trying to find a connection method between tender and loco?

Doubt bachmann have any intent of selling sound decoders separately - there are other suppliers in that relatively small marketplace already.

Apparently not - the only Bachmann steam loco with sound is listed as "on order" which I assume means that Bachmann Europe have no idea when they might expect the model from the factory, bearing in mind that those with dates are "anticipated dates only "

Do your own. I do although I wasted a lot of time on RTR chips. They all sound the same!!!

Guess I'll have to contact richard at DCC concepts then as I am now the proud owner of 2 class 55s ("durham light infantry" "koyle"-yet to be delivered from NRM and DP1 -Delivery expected tomorrow)
