Just wondered if any one as had the bachmann thomas the tank range before?? i bought Gordon and Henry off ebay a month ago £30 each brand new, i thought it wasn`t bad compaired to the hornby range. But i have not had bachmann before, only Lima and hornby.

So was it worth the buy, or have i blown money on rubbish

Bachmann have the rights to Thomas in the USA, so you have an American version. I've heard that they're ok. Same sort of build quality as Hornby, but modelled on slightly different locos

What about the couplers?

Just a thought as if they are Xmas gift for somebody they may need to be checked out for compatibility.

Checked that, have had them going all coupled up on my track and worked perfectly.

The feature i do like is the eyes move as well. have to say they have done a great job on that.
