QUOTE (pedromorgan @ 22 Jun 2008, 06:32) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I am looking at getting a backwoods minitures Darjeeling B class. i was wondering if any of you have built one of their kits?

What are the chassis like?
what problems did you have?

Can't answer for that specific kit, but the ones I've built have been excellent kits in the tradition of UK finescale construction; etched materials, soldering, multi-layers, tabs, etc. So, if you are OK with that lot it will be fine. If no experience of such, build some decent etched wagon kits first. Iain Rice's old book on etched loco construction in 4mm scale is a good introduction to techniques.

( Note, my experience probably different to yours, I happily scratchbuild 2mm scale locos etc..).
