Hi

I have got a model railway and hornby sponge underlay and I want to ballast it but I dont know how can someone plz help me thanks.

I used Search - Classic Forum Search and then entered "Ballast" as the search word, restricted it to Track, Layouts and Scenery and finally selected Topic Titles only.

Which ever way you lay it, N gauge ballast is just the right size for 4 mm scale track. If you buy OO scale ballast, odds on it will be too coarse.

To the writer who said don't use cork floor tiles, just be more selective about the tiles you choose! Pay a little more and you'll get better consistency with thickness.
