Hi guys I'm just wondering if anyone has bought a loco and got it for a fantastic price as I have just purchased an EWS liveried class 73 for £40.00 brand new from a shop as they stated they haven't sold many so I stated a price and they agreed.

Anyone else got a new loco bargain?

I know Rails have a couple of the 00 class 60's for £54.50 each. Talisman pack for £74.50 and coach pack for £34.50. Other bargins as well at the mo. Must be very quite on the buying front.

I think Hornby have some specials to clear slow moving stock. I know certain class 60 and 31s are in it. I also note that Hattons have some bargains on Black 5s , so perhaps thats part of it.

There's a lot to be said for waiting until the initial furore on release of models has died down . There are some huge diffirences in price at the moment . In Harburn, Edinburgh a Hornby 31 will set you back £95. Latest discount price £54, Imagine paying £40 more for a model. Enough to make a Scotsman cry!
