When I saw the title of this thread I was wondering what else you could use if you didn't use a jig saw. Don't go too cheap. There are some poor ones out there.

Same here, I love an excuse to get power tools.

BTW Watch you fingers. There is a tendency for some to saw through their fingers as well as the wood with jig saws. I know you're a lot smarter than that but it's worth bearing in mind.
