Hello Everyone.
I have some old Triang,Airfix,Wrenn & Mainline locos which I would like to run on DCC when I get the chance.
I was wondering what would be the best decoders to run in these locos. I was thinking of Lenz silver but am unsure of what model to use. Any help from someone who has done these type of locos would be gratefully received.
Thanks.

Hi Guys.
I think an important thing is that a decoder should work straight from the packet as a lot of modellers won't have the experience to tweak them right away. Most people only want to get their loco's working on DCC. The tweaking of CV's etc will come as they gain more experience & confidence. Maybe one of our experts here could devise a chart which shows the ifs & buts' of each decoder. It would certainly help someone like me who is only getting started in DCC. There are plenty of sites which deal with the subject of DCC in general but none which I know of which deals specifically with Decoders.
