Can anyone help me in a search for infomation on the Black 5 locomotive fitted with Stevenson valve gear drawings pictures and wear abouts of the real locomotive anything would be of great help.

Dear Peter,

44767 'George Stephenson' is based on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, but according to 'Railways Restored 2006' is undergoing restoration off-site.
I've checked recent 'Workshop News' items in 'The Railway Magazine' but the loco wasn't mentioned in any of them.
The NYMR website www.northyorkshiremoorsrailway.com may be worth trying.

Further to my post above, I've looked through all this year's Railway Magazines and there is no mention of it at all.
There is also very little information on the NYMR website.

George Stephenson is currently under overhaul at Ian Storey's own workshops.
