hi , tried to dcc this today it ran very jerky after beeing really smooth in analouge . removed capacitator still ran badly.took chip out and repleced with another still the same so tried the chips in another loco and everything ok.put blanking plug back in 101 smooth running again .
Not sure if I'm on the right track with your Loco
but as it is new it may need a little more running in before conversion to DCC , things are probably a little tight in the drive
and the BEMF is trying to compensate
I get the same problem with older loco's that need a new backplate ( so one new bearing that can be tight)
and need to run them for while before pluging the decoder in
I got mine last week after 5 months waiting on pre-order!
At last! I'm really pleased with it and it looks fantastic cruising round the layout. Mine made a slight squeaking noise until it had been run in (analogue so can't help with the DCC queries). To me it just looks best in blue/grey livery for some reason?
