Bachmann Brassworks has released its first narrow gauge 1:19 scale locomotive in the form of a Double Fairlie locomotive. It is available to operate on either 32mm or 45mm track.

Two double Fairlie locomotives were built for the 23.5" gauge Festiniog Railway in North Wales to the designs of Robert Fairlie at the railways Boston Lodge Works. The first 'Merddin Emrys' was built in 1879 and the second 'Livingston Thompson' in 1886. A third locomotive 'David Lloyd George' entered service in 1992 and was built to the same external designs as the earlier locomotives.

BW1500 is painted black and will operate on 32mm track (RRP £1188.60) and BW1545 operates on 45mm track (RRP £1214.85). Both locomotives are painted black and are electrically powered. Both track gauges are popular with narrow gauge garden railway operators.
