Very dissapointed...............
At least I picked up some bargains uncluding the Hornby First Scotrail Caledonian Sleeper train for only £60.
Many other people expressed their dismay, but a number of people did say there were some.
Did seem to be very busy (don't know how the numbers were compared to last year) but sale were very, very poor - it was not just us either - we had a good position just by one of the entranceways & people were just not leaving with many carrier bags.
Still, meeting Mr & Mrs DWB, Nikki, Dinwiddy & others made up for it a little. It's always nice to see forum members face to face.
Dave (BRITHO) bought one or two road vehicles & I bought a VTG wagon & a Gauge 1 penguin.
It was an interesting show and worth the hour it took to get down to the front from the A27 forty minutes before kick off at the Withdean stadium. Then we had a healthy mile plus walk from parking just beyond the Volks Electric railway station at Black Rock by Brighton Marina.
Highlights of the show, apart from meeting Brian and Dave, were the tanks, the London Underground layout and learning that one of the live steam gauge one operators was a sprightly 97 years young!! I picked up an EFE Leeds Corporation tram. I've no idea if it's suitable for the mid 50's but it's Leeds and I know my dad will be fascinated by it.
There was a lovely sunset and then chips on the front before walking back to the car for the trip home.

Nice to know we were one of the highlights, personally I was impressed by HMS Hood - made of LEGO!
