So I went along to this with younger offspring, anyway everyone seemed nice from car park attendants to those on the door, found myself booted out (nicely) from the traders only tea room, this show took a lot of space and had three big rooms in total all of which were pretty much filled up, so notable were DCC Concepts and I purchased a 21 pin decoder (cheapy job) for my new V2 purchased a few yards away.
So the stands were equally split between stalls and layouts so this was quite impressive, some excellent modelling going on although given my recent OO9 efforts the one I saw there was rather good, a nice looking Heljan Manning Wardle parked looking pretty but the nice chap behind the layout talked to me about his experiences and yes his efforts at making them work better, but at least they look pretty.
My lad had his ipad out and was filming many of the layouts so I can refer to that, an N gauge model of Banbury also looked good, I also met talked and purchased an item from Ray Heard whose shows I used to have a stand at especially Newton Abbot Racecourse and the next one is on May 29th who knows I may yet take a stand if I can sort out enough stuff to sell off and make it worthwhile.
so to anyone who missed it, yes robbery on the door but a good day, it took me an t'lad 3 hours to get around it and I could have easily spent more time and money.
