QUOTE (Edwin @ 29 Mar 2007, 09:21) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Not mentioned in the Telegraph, but Transport 2000's mascot 'Sardine Man', as recently seen on First Great Western, is planning to travel on all ten most overcrowded trains. Not sure what the reaction will be to a six-foot fish trying to squeeze onto a packed train...

Now that I would like to see - could lead to rail rage I suspect!!

Regards

John

QUOTE (John Webb @ 30 Mar 2007, 14:10) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>If the gentleman is dressed as a sardine and someone objects would it possibly be 'Tail rage'?

Are you fishing for jokes there John?

Seriously though I think by doing this a point is being made about the overcrowded state of some of our rail services. It shows the need for the thousand new carriages discussed elsewhere.

Strangely enough I was reading one of my older books last night - "Not the age of the train" by Alan Morris from, I think, 1986, surprise surprise - it was a major topic then as well.

Regards

John
