I changed the topic's sub title yesterday at Brian's suggestion or has no one noticed?

David
If you don't get a significant number of MRF members at the show this weekend, all this thread bumping really will have been in vain.

Hi Spud,
Nice to meet you! BC had to go and change as he didn't get home from work untill 4am this morning and was up again at 6am to get the stand to Broadstairs!

Re the gauge master van, is there two tiny screws holding on to the base? Turn over and look, they are TINY!

On another note. Chris24 was there with his Dad and thier layout's first exhibition outing. A very nice layout. Only one critisism Chris, with the pelmet so low tall people like myself had trouble seeing it without stooping/bending! Perfect height for kids though! Excellent use of teddy bear fur for grass, Just how many gave thier lives?

Not a bad show really. A nice friendly local one with a good selection of layouts and trade support.....The lady selling raffle tickets got a bit tiresome after asking me 5 times if I wanted any! Can't fault her for trying!

I managed to get through the day without the "ejector rocket pack" being let off, not for want of trying though eh BritHO

good man Brian, thats commitment!

nope the van hasnt got 2 tiny screws, the skaleautos caravan i bought on another stall
had that and came off without a hitch. this has a weird lump of metal that turns, but no matter how much you turn it, it makes no difference!! :'( and iv wanted one of these fer ages, wouldnt have if id known it would be so annoying!

Chris24's layout was good, i remember it, but even i had trouble seeing the layout properly, and im 5" 10'/11' the frame for the front of the layout needs to be extended upwards, or you could just take the top part off no?

even i have to say the lady selling raffle tickets got a tad irritating after a while, she was all i could hear whilst walking around looking at the layouts!!

I suggest that you PM Brian re the Van. He'll know for sure how to get it out of the packaging!
RESULT!!! iv got it off of the base
but i think il have to go for a lie down now, iv got brain ache from working it out lol. Il show you tomorrow how it works

getting to the show tomorrow should be fun, tis pissing it down at the mo, i might have to swim there

You have to be "easing" the GM vehicles away from the base as you are undoing the weird metal bit !

I'd just like to thank Dave (BRITHO) & Steve (Woolverton Bloomer) for helping with the stand today - could not have done it without you two - I really was tired after a loooooong day & just a couple of hours sleep.

Flippin' 'eck - praise!!

Overall a good little show, didn't buy much, just a couple of buses and some resin walling. Nice to meet a few more members, at one point we had seven members on the floor. One layout struck me as having Peter's favourite moan - loads of stock and all that moved was a single car unit, oh except when one of the operators ran a freight train into it.

On a final note - we weren't last out!!

Regards
