Is it possible?

May sound as a dumb question but is it possible to change/ modify them.

Lets say, for a specific loco, loksound decoders comes with 8 functions, whistle,bell,...etc. and lets say F3 is the bell. The ringing of the bell is at a certain frequency/interval, ringing at 1 sec intervals. Question is; is there a way (playing with CV's) to change this interval to lets say 3 seconds.

Again , the chuff rate, is it possible or are all these factory presets.

*** Yes, possible. All changes are possible, some harder than others. if U are going to be a sound user in quantity, a lokprogrammer is a very good investment as it makes everything easier.

The bell is harder - you need to probably replace the sound file with a new bell sound though. I'l ltry to look more closely at that tomorrow as the lokprogrammer is at the office.

Re changing chuff, not so hard.

For a 2 cylinder loco:

set to 128 speed steps. setup loco to crawl slowly at speed step one.

Then, drive the loco in speed step 1 and adjust CV57 to give exactly four chuffs per wheel
revolution.

Then go to about a scale 15mph (appx 25kph) and adjust CV58 to give four chuffs per rev at that speed.
